Anita Sarkeesian is a Canadian-American feminist media critic and public speechwriter. Feminist Frequency was created by Sarkeesian. The site hosts videos featuring commentary and analysis of the depictions of women in the media and popular culture of today. Anita Sarkeesian is an award-winning Canadian-American feminist media critic as well as blogger. Feminist Frequency, a web-based resource for education that examines women's positions in the pop culture narratives, is her brainchild. She also serves as the director of operations. Feminist Frequency was created on the 9th of September 2009 by Sarkeesian, university student who has been fascinated by issues concerning gender and feminism since a long time.
