Dolly-Parton

Dolly Parton escaped the struggles in her early life thanks to her inventive and innovative imagination. Prior to learning how to read or write she wrote her own songs. The first time she picked up a guitar was when she was just 8 years old and started singing at the Knoxville Tenn radio station at the age of 11. That same year she made her first record on Gold Band Records a tiny independent label. Even though she became an established local celebrity while at high school, her goals were greater. In 1964, the day that followed her graduation from high school the singer moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde was her first album to be charted at the top of Monument Records. Porter Wagoner, a syndicated TV show host at the time was searching for a female singer on his show. Parton began her career in 1967 and signed by RCA Records by 1968, and was a part of the Grand Ole Opry. It was not until 1974 that she opted to walk away from Wagoner's band because the popularity of her solo albums like Joshua Coat, Many Colors, and Jolene exceeded their collective efforts. Parton composed I Will Always love You to Wagoner after their breakup. The song reached the top of the charts at. This was the first time a single reached No.
