Gunn is well known as the character Skyler White in the AMC Drama Breaking. Gunn was nominated to win her role in the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. Her performance was a winner in 2013 and 2014. In August of 2013, she wrote an op-ed piece for The New York Times examining the negative reactions of people towards her portrayal.
