Harry Edward Styles - also known as Harry Styles - is a British musician and songwriter. Harry Styles has been acknowledged as the composer in the One Direction band. The band is based in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England Styles is the son of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles was a student at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School where together with his three classmates, he formed his own group, White Eskimo. They took home the Battle of Bands in 2009 with their amazing performance. Despite having always shown interest in music He also wished to become the next lawyer or physiotherapist. A part-time job in a city bakery is his very first opportunity to make money for his family. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition during which he performed the Stevie Wonder's track Is not She Lovely. His band was forced to split up because of the fact that they were selected. Following the audition on The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles would be a part of a future band that would be called One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in the year 2010. The band performed songs such as My Life Would Suffer Without You, by Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. They were one of the potential winners for the prize. However, they came in third behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles' group didn't win, but Cowell nevertheless paid 2 million pounds in cash to One Direction for them to sign a deal with Syco.
